Kevin, another reason for doing more of the 3D in the CPU is that games will look identical on all machines. It drives the game-makers crazy that every video card implements effects like fog, translucence, binlinear filtering, etc, etc, differently.

Kevin the SPUR, Large increase in value of AMD senior notes today, inspite of tech meldown and AMD stock price decline. Junk yield falling along with treasurys. Bonds hepled buy Intel sellers seeking safty. Bailed out of AMAT just before close last Monday. No positions in stocks. Cash and Bonds, Moving more cash into 1 Yr Treas befoe close today....Later
