Could you define an "outside reversal week"...
I could not find it in Murphy's book on technical anaylysis.
Does it have to do with the wedge you saw forming...?

GZ:

What's an outside-reversal?

Today's phone outage, although the first in a long time, teaches one how market plans can be screwed up in an instant. You are absolutely helpless! All I could do was raise and connect to my local node -- period. Couldn't even call a brokerage!

"The more a trend line is touched by prices, the stronger it becomes and the more significant a break through it will be. Small violations of the trend line may simply mean that the original line was set too tight and should be adjusted to include the new data." I downloaded this little gem to my cut-and-paste file a few moments ago, and wondered if you agree the same applies to Andrew's?

Under what conditions if any, should charting data be discarded as aberrant?

Ciao, Ted

<< A big if, but If we close below 7700 tomorrow, we'll have an outside reversal week. That would be the biggest kiss of death any market would want. Again, the odds are not likely because such a pattern is rare. >>

THE BULL IS DEAD !!!

GZ,

Clearly we had an outside week on the DOW, but it looks like we might also have had an outside week on the S&P500 and Nasdaq (and others?).

Does this make the kiss of death any bigger?

Most advisers were still saying to hold all stocks as of yesterday. I guess they were wrong. Any advice on what we do from here would be greatly appreciated. I am most interested in advice on good Put candidates.

Please keep the great information coming !!! : ' )

The bull is dead, santa has left the building, and the January effect is over.

Now, back to reality ...
