Win '98 will be a contributing factor....not til later in the year if I am correct....There currently is no KILLER application that will cause people to migrate to the Pentium II quicker...I don't know how much better games are on the P II......You appear to be correct....I was thinking why I would go and buy a P II vs. Pentium and couldn't think of a reason why....

The big thing this year will be Nov-Dec...the rollout of adsl lite....this will be THE consumer gift of the year....dedicated bandwidth at about 1 Mbp/s from your local ISP or telco...look for more Baby Bells to start offering this as they control the central offices where the racks of modems are....These modems will have DEDICATED bandwidth which is different from cable modems that share the bandwidth...People won't know what to do with 1MBp/s....It is a LIGHT YEAR ADVANCEMENT for the consumer...very simple product...software upgradeable up to 8Mbp/s depending on where you live and how far you are from the central office.....

Take care
