Dan, who are the players in ADSL? Westell? Sprint? I assume one needs an ADSL modem for this service. Who makes (will make) those or their proprietary components? Thanks

Dan - I bagged my free ISDN installation, because of the ADSL technology rumors. At that time we were thinking first quarter. Anyway, since ISDN cost more to provide than it generates in revenue,
I figured I'd be hosed if I went for it. I am pretty remote, and think I may be central-office-challenged for either. Sam's club still sells 28.8 modems for $120. Who's buying? Interesting analysis - thanks,
Mike

Dan, I also read that the new voice recognition software that is hitting the market, works tons better on at least a 266 PII. That will cause a lot of businesses and others to upgrade, not to mention teleconferencing. One day.

I think that P II is better for full-32-bit stuff. Thus, it is better if you are using NT vs. Win95.
