I said stock buybacks are bad for investors and companies. You disagreed. I suggested you give me one example of a company with a stock buyback that has falling top and bottom lines that's good for investors.

"Falling top and bottom lines" is a separate thing from "stock buybacks".

My point is that many CEOs simply did what others were doing (follow the leader, not leading) instead of doing what was right for their companies.

Maybe. Certainly CEOs often make mistakes and sometimes that's because "follow the leader". I'm skeptical however of the idea that you generally know what's good for their companies more than they do.
