Venkie, Hi - Makes us kinda miss Hank doesn't it? He at least stated why, (TA/valuation), and backed up his conviction with his money. Still long and still happy.

Best,

Lee

Yes, I have a lot of Dell shorts at this time. I have only shorted Dell up to now (never bought Dell shares). The first time I went in at 78 (!) and covered at 72$. Got VERY lucky,... but my position was minuscule. My short position contains lots at 92, 88, 87 1/2, 87 1/4 and 86. I still have all of those. And, I have to admit, I am in possesion of a small lot at 85 1/2 (bummer!). I am in the black and will be out of there as soon as the trend reverses or if I get a margin call. This margin call is coming up because I got very buzy buying two other equities today as they look like they are reversing from a downtrend and went up 5+% and 6+% today (small caps). May be I will get even more margin to short Dell again and again... Wouldn't that be nice! (being nasty here).
Good luck all.
Thank God we have the web... this make investing a better teaching experience, at least for me.

PS: for the few who have not shorted an equity yet. You don't pay any commision when you short, even when you talk to the broker (at least at Fidelity): You only pay a comission when you cover. That was an amazing news to me. I am still very new at investing.
Sooooo: don't read my posts and sell or short Dell!. Do your own DD. please.
