Thanks for your post, Dougerdad. The one thing that I cannot seem to get a handle on is the various segments of ADPT's business or products and what each contributes to gross sales and net income. Can you help out here? It seems to me that the demand for PC's and servers should be more important to ADPT than the disk drive controller segment. And what about the effect or impact of network computers on ADPT? Any help you can provide in breaking out the products for us will be appreciated. Regards.

Dougerdad,

Is the shortfall a result of weakness in internet stocks like 3COM and CSCO? ASND appears to have turned around. Any comments appreciated. Glad to know you think everything is OK. Even the best companies ocasionally miss. Market is tough right now.

Good Luck.

Doug

Dougerdad,

It is true what you say today, but what about in the future. Over the next year or two there are two developments that may really hurt this company. The first is higher host rates from the ATA drives. It is called ATA 66. Currently, drive companies are shipping ATA 33. All drive and chip companies are working on this 66 megabyte ATA host for introduction at the end of this year. For the workstation market, this should be a good substitute for SCSI performance. Second, but farther out will be 1394. It is true that ADPT has 1394, but so will everyone else. I believe with 113 million shares outstanding and 3500 employees, this company is in for some hard times in the future. What do you think?
