Nancy and Alan: Another possible "sign of the times" is the role that some believe that a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem will play. While I know there is disagreement over whether there will be an actual rebuilt temple or whether references to the temple are purely metaphoric, there are certainly verses in Revelation which could be interpreted to refer to an actual rebuilt temple. For example: Rev 11:1 1 I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, "Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the worshipers there. (NIV) There is also a reference in Matthew spoken of by Jesus: Matt 24:15 15 So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel-- let the reader understand-- (NIV) Do you believe there will be an actual third temple built in Jerusalem? Have you heard any talk of it from friends or acquaintenances in Israel or elsewhere? Any word on the reinstitution of sacrifices? In Christ, Tom
