HWP a conglomerate Beachbumm, let me use the occasion of your comments on HWP to get in touch again. Happy New Year, first of all. A conglomerate in itself is not necessarily a bad thing, as GE demonstrates for many years now. HWP may quite well be considered a conglomerate, but at that it is concentrated in technology and tech-application. I like their Verifone aquisition as a bet on the Internet. The measurement and medical equipment business is quite profitable and respected. Yes they are diversified, but I think in a good way. They recently stumbled (that's when I bought), but I trust management to find ways to get moving again. A pretty safe tech bet in my view, probably nothing spectacular, though, I concede.
