Even if the generals around him are against it, Trump would have no problem finding others willing to burn the entire Korean peninsula in nuclear fire. War is what many of them live for. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near either Korea while Trump is president. The North is actually very well prepared for nuclear war, and has been for a long time.

In the old days, the aristocrats were on the battlefronts, along with every conscripts they could take. As a result war was a much more serious matter. Making the wrong call could cause the demise of a dynasty or at least bring very personal losses. I am in favor of mandating both. Bring back the draft, but also mandate that the 1st and 2nd relatives of congress members should be part of the force. If a congressman does not want to see his grandchildren or children in the war, he should not want it for others either.
