Scrapps, so what is the scoop? Did ya get a reply from Dell yet? If so how does the price compare with the others?? What is the price on Gateway,around 2500 bucks??? Let's know,okay.

Scrapps - good choice. Based on your specs, here's what I see. Dell Dimension = $3071 Gateway = $3218 (costs $99 for 3yr warranty similar to Dells) Differences: GTW offers Accelgraphics card whereas Dell offers Matrox Millineum. GTW offers the Ensoniq/Boston Accoustics combo whereas Dell offers the SoundBlasterAWE64/Altec Lansing combo Dell has the edge in these offerings, everything else is equal. Micron Millennia XKU.300 = $3442 Differences: Micron offers Number 9 video and Advent speakers. Hardware between Dell and Micron essentially identical. The advantage Dell has is a 3yr warranty vs. Micron's 1yr warranty. Compaq... forget it, you can't configure a system the way you want. Looks like Dell has the pricing advantage.
