Palm Computing makes a fist Company is fighting mad over Microsoft's introduction of a competing product with a similar name THE PALMPC IS MICROSOFT'S fifth attempt at entering the handheld market. This time, the Redmond, Wash., company is going all-out: seven hardware makers have announced they will build devices based on Microsoft's PalmPC design, and the PalmPC name was splashed prominently around the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
