ED: I don't take into consideration cost of the phone since I write off the phone or depreciate it. The numbers I am talking about is the service, the per miniute, and roaming. Since all cell companies, excluding nextel, have to charge .60 min roaming since there was some agreement made when they set up system originaly. Now I am not sure about the facts since I am quoting salesman from GTE who was trying to get me off my NEXTEL SYSTEM. We were comparing my bill to what it would cost versus nextel and simply said he can't compete, but the cdma phone sounded much better, which agree but not enough to switch. Now with the network we're LOCKED in. There is nothing close out there. I work here in san diego to las vegas. I can call a local vender from san diego in vegas and pay no toll or roaming by paying extra $5 for that feature. When I go to SF my per min runs about .45 cents with nextel toll charges to san diego. If I had GTE I pay ROAMING .60 PLUS toll charges to call SD plus I have to put a security code. GOOD LUCK RICK
