I got some answers to your questions

1. Die size of GXm?
2. Which IBM process is it using (7S or 6X)?
3. What happened to the 6x86MX PR-266 part promissed by the end of Q4?
4. Is NSM continuing to produce 6x86MX parts under .35u process?
5. Die size of 6x86MX under .25u process
6. Did the promissed Tape-Out of MXi happen in Q4 97?

1. Die size of GXm: 200 GXm is 144.8 mm2/ .35u
>200 GXm is 112.37 mm2/ .30u
John said they are not making the Media Gx at .25u like the article stated.
2. Doesn't know he will let me know soon
3. He really can't comment. He basically said they will continue to ramp up the speed
4. Sorry, didn't get an answer for that
5. He didn't know
6. He can't comment

John said the South Portland Fab is not making x86 chips currently. They will in 3-6 months. TSMC is not making chips for National, it's a possiblity in the future. The original wafer agreement between IBM and Cyrix for 10,000 wafer/qtr. is the same for National.

John also said that National will no longer be using the PR rating for Cyrix chips.

John is very friendly and tries to be helpful. I recommend someone call him and verify what i was told. His # is (408) 721-2998
