They might like the looks. I happen to NOT like the looks. I like wooden stocks and grips. I think the AR15 type guns look like they're made by Mattel. Or maybe they like that they're easy to customize, change out the stocks, put a pistol grip on, put all kinds of barrels and sights on. I read today someone is making a "chainsaw bayonet" for the AR15. Which made me laugh it's so ridiculous. But what the heck, it's a free country and people can do what they want. I like that.
