I would check Consumer Reports and go for the highest score and try to buy it at Costco. Costco didn't have the model I wanted nor the extra deals I got with Amazon so I got mine from Amazon. Kirk, my Christmas present to myself is going to be a 52+ inch smart TV. Do you have a brand recommend? RDK consumerreports.org Well worth paying them $20 a year to support their work. I also pay CR an extra $30 a year to subscribe to their print version too. LG currently has the top scores at Consumer Reports. I bought the second highest rated set (LG) which is only 1 point lower than the top rated set at nearly double the price. Since Costco didn't have the model I wanted and I could buy the better rated model at Amazon for less than Costco was charging for the model rated one point lower, I went with Amazon. I've been happy with Samsung and those models continue to rate high but I'd consider splurging for a 55" OLED LG as the display is very good. 55" OLED LG OLED55B7A 4K amzn.to $1597 65" OLED LG OLED65B7A 4K amzn.to $2597 Models below have better sound which is worth the extra $100 for me since I save electricity during the day when working at my desk with the TV on CNBC by not using my 9 channel Marantz receiver, separate 450W amp for the main speakers and a Velodyne subwoofer. 55" OLED LG OLED55C7P 4K amzn.to $1697 65" OLED LG OLED65C7P 4K amzn.to $2697 Mine will be delivered in a few hours. They say they will open the box, set it up to make sure it works then take the packaging with them. I also got a wall mount amzn.to which will be delivered today. The wall mount will be installed tomorrow for free as part of the package of buying this model amzn.to. Finally, I joined Prime for a month and got their credit card so I get 5% back! I may upgrade to a yearly membership to save money and get streaming 4K content or cancel Prime after the Holidays.
