Unless of course she used her position as Secretary of State to subvert National Security to make a profit with a hostile regime. Prosecutors filter through all sorts of potential avenues of inquiry before settling on those they prosecute. That charge has surely been given a once-over and rejected for having no foundation. Then protecting her and any previous administration officials is what Banana Republics and partisans do. Not exactly. Banana republics protect when the previous administration is their guys, prosecute when it's the other guys. That's why the expression is that we don't prosecute political rivals. The scenario we have before us is an other-guy previous administration. Prosecute and you dine with the monkeys.
