Zev, Yes, that would seem logical, to cover at the supports and take the profit, but I'll be surprised if there's not another drop on Monday. I believe that the second DOW circuit breaker is -550/60min and that the NASD follows the NYSE lead.

Zeev, we had discussed the Japanese situtation sometime ago and yesterday I listened to the political finance person from Japan. It became clear to me that it is going to be a cold day in turnip land when they reduce taxes. He made it very clear they will never become a debter nation. Also he made it clear they do not want to become a consumer nation. It looks to me like they will ride this mess out until they are out of financial resources and/or the yen tanks to the level that the currency differential (sometime down the road) solves the problem. Now they are going to do some deregulation of government owned industries and he said they cut corporate taxes from 50% to 46%.

I wonder if the discussions with AG and Rubin this week will change their mind?

Interesting to say the least.

Have a good weekend, Joan
