Williet,

Absolutely agree--CPQ is down because the Nasdaq tanked, no other reason. For more on CPQ's prospects, check out Microsoft Investor (http://investor.msn.com/home.asp?) Jubak's Journal: "Compaq and the Profits of Doom"

Jubak points out what has been often noted on this thread: Compaq is driving the price war because it can afford to--it has the most efficient manufacturing and its component costs are dropping.

To Williet,

How come you are so sure the cpq will be 5~7 points higher nxt week? I think the market trend will be determined by the INTC earning coming out Tue. If INTC does not miss number and dose not make overly cautious comments, it may lead the market to recover big way. We may see some technical rebound Mon. first, hopefully.

however, there is not doubt that selling pressure is very heavy for cpq.
