This country needs engineers and Dr's, not Existentialists. I'm not sure of how much Philosophy contributes to the GDP and taxes to pay for healthcare and free University, roads bridges and defense.... I'm sure your all over it as you studied it for 4 years.... All the engineering jobs are going overseas leaving the US with a major surplus of philosophers If you want to read Plato go to the library or join a book club... Personally I have no interest in paying taxes and healthcare costs of 3 year olds through 25 year olds so they can ruminate on Plato.
