I'm going to have to think about it some but I think we may get double taxed in a way on money put into IRAs in high tax states since putting them into IRAs in CA meant we had less of a state tax deduction way back when.... and now when we take the money out, we'll not get to deduct the tax we pay to CA... and some of us have done so well with our investing that we'll be in higher brackets when we take RMDs then when we put it in too!
