My son lives in the Valley and the only way to get there is through the Sepulveda Pass. He sent me this text this morning:

Fwd: As gesture of my love, I would love to make you a gourmet lunch at my home today. I was thinking an early lunch would be great. Can I count on seeing you here at 11 a.m. today?
I am trying to think of how to repay this loving gesture. ;)

I spent some time in your neck of the woods......Campbell for 2.5 years 92/93/94 and Los Gatos for about 8 years....moved to Florida in late 2001.

I can only remember one fire, in my area, it was out by Lexington Park.....they put it out after a couple of days.....thank goodness!

Returning home from Lake Tahoe on 88, I had a helicopter land about a quarter mile in front of me, in the middle of the road......it dropped guys off to go look for hunters (they questioned me).......they were down in one of the valleys with a decent sized blaze going.......don't know if they found them.

No more earthquakes for me......now I worry about cat 3, 4, and 5 hurricanes! Guess no place is 100% safe!

Capitola Beach was my hang-out.....Went over the hill every time I had he chance! Is Zelda's still there?
