RE: ". I can say I was sad to not see my issue of Marketimer in my mailbox yesterday to read Bob's summary of the situaution as I used to have it by the 8th."

I'll be lucky to get mine by Monday, based on history.

RE: "I look for strong hints that AMAT and UTEK and a few others have been clobbered to excess. I'm thinking of selling some positions that are only off 10% from peaks to get some semi cap equipment bargains that are 50% of more off recent highs."

The semi-equip stocks have definitely taken much more of a beating than the overall market, so your logic appeals to me. But, I'm a sucker for that game (trying to catch the bottom of out-of-favor stocks).

On a related issue, did you hear the call on last week's show asking about the science & technology fund? Bob refused to comment. It sounded like he was about to recommend sale of the fund in this month's Marketimer. I probably will not get my copy until Monday or Tuesday and, by that time, the fund could have dropped 10% from the level at which he considered the fund a "sell."

I hope he updates us on the fund this weekend. I also hope he discusses the Far East Ex-Japan fund. It has gone down about 50% since his sell signal. Is it time to get back in?

Best wishes,

I2

Any luck with a source for predicted S&P500 earnings?

Interesting site for market pundits. Abby J. Cohen is number one on the list (she predicted Fri. DOW 8700 or higher)

smartmoney.com

Click the baseball card images of the pundits for best/worst picks.

It is a bit old so I wonder of the Lady Elaine still sees DOW trading 7000-8500?
