I understand the single-payer position but I also understand reality. Most Americans get their health insurance from the companies they work for or worked for. Trying to get everyone to switch to Medicare isn't possible because the votes are not there.

If there were enough liberals in office we could talk about fixing these issues but it's a pipe dream (and something I strongly support) for now. Single-payer creates cheaper and better healthcare in every country on the planet. It also creates a better standard of living and longer life expectancies. But these are facts and we don't live in a fact-based world anymore.
