I really doubt they'll have any success in touching Social Security and Medicare.

That is the whole point of the tax "reform". The idea is to bankrupt the gov and then in a few years claim that the gov is going broke so we MUST reform entitlements. There will be no talk of reforming the military however, its vital that we keep bloating that one...

If they ever get a strong majority in the Senate and House again with a Republican President, rest assured they will cut those programs.
