HI traveler,

I was transferred by Chevrolet into Houston on Sept 15th 1981.

That's the era I'm referring to.

I was a warranty auditor and I traveled witha partner who liked a good stiff drink after work.LOL

It did soon change about open containers.

The thought back then was You could have a drink and drive - but heaven help you if you drove and were drunk.

Texas was and still is a very free personal rights state.
