Traveler - I was going to bring up diversity. Yes, all those countries are very homogeneous. The US is not. DIversity, like most things, is a mixed bag. It makes social problems more difficult, i.e.when new immigrants show up in your neighborhood. But it also increases the skill pool (and the food and the music pool!). A few years back, National Geographic had a feature, The Changing Face of America. Check it out.The die is cast. Our kid's kids won't even know what all the fuss was about...
