Or you can look at the New England Journal of Medicine on the Oregon experiment which is the only controlled study in a single state:

"This randomized, controlled study showed that Medicaid coverage generated no significant improvements in measured physical health outcomes in the first 2 years, but it did increase use of health care services, raise rates of diabetes detection and management, lower rates of depression, and reduce financial strain."

I don't have the time to pull the CDC WONDER data, but an underlying issue is that Medicaid coverage in the aggregate is not great. Medical insurance does not necessarily mean medical access.

As a side note, I spoke with a board member of an organization that provides free medical services locally. He said that demand for free services has increased by 25% with Obamacare because of high deductibles.
