Neither my opinion, your opinion or my girlfriend's opinion counts. but I would like to know what the FDA advisory committee thinks. Their opinion is what counts. I think we should all understand that the current state of the art in Pap test automation is not for computers to make diagnosis or even to select slides for cytotechs to read but rather to select slides not to be read by cytotechs. When you are talking about a 25% reject rate this may not be particularly difficult.

For some reason having a computer order slides by degree of liklihood that a cytotech needs to read it disturbs you but you have no problem with an automated Kirby-Bauer test. Can you explain why one bothers you and the other doesn't other than one might produce revenue for a company whose stock you own and the other might be seen as competition?
