stt -

Sorry - I'm was wrong - I guess you might get asked for a save path by default. Pick that you want to OPEN the file, not SAVE it, and unselect the box that says "always ask before opening this type of file". See if that helps.

If that doesn't help, double check your file association properties for QPL, and make sure it looks set up properly compared to other filetypes. And maybe trying restarting Explorer and/or your system.

Are you using Windows 95 or Windows 3.x ? I would think uf you're using Windows 95 and have associated a viewer with the QPL filetype, it should work. But I could be wrong. Haven't use the 3.x stuff for a while.

In Internet Explorer, go to View at the top of the screen, then Options. Next, go to Programs, and then click on File Types. Click on New Type. Fill in the following:

Description of type: Quotes Plus.

Content type: application/x-qplus

Default extension for content type: .qpl

Actions -- click on New and type in: open

Leave all the boxes below unchecked.

Now click OK.

None of this is necessary with the new Internet Downloader in QP2, by the way.
