John,
I believe everyone on this board and on all Y2K boards, are aware time to correct the problem for key industries, within the time frame between now and yr 2000 is critical. The problem will not be corrected by many industries, as they have not identified it as a high priority in future budget forecast.
New Subject:
I was able to spend a few hours yesterday going over TPRO annual report.
The success of TPRO within the immediate time frame, is to correct a short fall on cash flow.It would also be a good question at the stockholders meeting, how the contractual funding is handle on the service contracts.
The top Fortune 500 companies have the Y2K problem, but also have professional contract negotiators to insure their financial posture.

Wow, I am still on line. If anyone gets a chance to read this--I was at my store today when I asked a man who said he was new to Reading what he did for a living. Said he was working at Lucent, for a couple of months. Said he had his own company and was working on the Y-2000 problem. (must have beeb 27 years old max.) He worked for Oracle. I asked if he had some kind of tool set, he gave a puzzled look and said they check every line of the application. I asked him about embedded chips He Had no idea what I was talking about!!!!

I thing our world needs a lot more education, even in the Y-2000 field.
