TKA- Now the "State" is laying in with their annual opinions of which they are "unwavering" for the Legislature. They state that they will be expounding on these issues throughout the next week. I certainly hope the only publicly traded company in the business of Video Poker in S.C., namely AB&G, has plans to spend a little of the recent $11.4 million cash,to defend its legal business and bring some balance to the argument.

I agree that they should have eliminated the part in the state constitution that forbids inter-racial marriages. Seven times black legislators have attemted this to no avail.

When I lived in the state I couldnt believe the amount of time spent marching and fighting over flying the confederate flag over the state house. I see the "State" is resigned to it not happening. Tradition dies hard.

I am reminded of F.Lee Baileys comments on the laws of the state during the Susan Smith trial when he said " South Carolina is not one of the enlightned states when it comes to some of the laws on there books"
