>>OFF TOPIC<< (I guess)

Hi Mark,

Yes, I guess what I was asking for was for all or most of the third party guys to get together and boot out the two current "spoils sharers". Considering the many disparate and heartfelt beliefs and the various personalities involved, I suppose that's too much to ask. I'll dream on.

Interesting comments about Pakistan. Another potential trouble spot to worry about.

Jack

We do have a third (and a fourth) party. They just don't get no respect.

I'm a refugee from a major party and currently not affliated with any party. Regarding your statement above, why have they not got any respect? Thanks.

Hey Mark. I have always been a Republican, but I am so disgusted with them for what they'v become (just concerned about maintaining power) that I would probably vote Libertarian if they put somebody up next time.
I think the only way to solve the corruption issue in politics is by taking the power of the purse away from the politicians.
WHY NOT HAVE THE PEOPLE VOTING ON EVERY ISSUE EVERYDAY, BY COMPUTER OR BY PHONE.
This would definitely put the power back in the peoples hands. The laws would certainly be a lot simpler because afterall it is the people that have to live with them and abide them, not lawyers.
We could still have a representative govt, but they would be relagated to discussing some insignificant treaty which then has to be voted on by the people.
I'd love to see this happen. Who knows. The world is changing faster than anyone could have guessed.
