I think that is much more true of conservatives than liberals. To support your point Cheny being for gay marriage.

But liberals are pretty good at seeing things of that sort without it being a personal issue.

I heard a quote last night:

"A drop is known, an ocean is unknown."

Liberals start with a question: 'how can we help the poor" and then apply science to the question.

Conservatives start with an answer"" they need to work harder and pull themselves up by the bootstrap."
