I can't believe this. Hundreds of messages about how to fix the crisis, and not one with the proper solution: For S. Korea to get out of its mess, all it has to do is sell its Seoul.

(couldn't resist)

Whew - finally got caught up with a couple of hundred posts. Lots of tooing and froooing on the IMF. One anecdote I'll pass along.

While sitting around the pool this weekend with some Chinese Malays one fellow commented that the best thing that could happen would be the IMF entering the picture here in Malaysia. He was resolute, as were the others that they (the Chinese) would have nothing to lose and everything to gain by having the IMF's transparency rules in effect. No special loan arrangements for Bumi's, no forgiveness of loans, no buying $1,000.000 RM houses with $10 down. (exagerated folks <g>)
