About 180,000 new cases annually discovered.

With a better treatment, might there be more early discovery?

According to the American Cancer Society, the 5-year survival rate for the 178,000 Americans diagnosed with lung cancer every year is only 14%. The poor survival rate is attributable to the fact that only 15% of lung cancer is detected at an early-stage

Michael,

This just came across the wire. Might be big implications for macular degeneration. Would this be a competing drug or one that would actually bring back to life those retinal cells that were damaged?
