I think we have never tried market solutions to healthcare in the US, which is why our system is failing right now. The more it fails, the more people want a government solution. The more government involvement, the more it fails. We're in a race to the bottom. The system was market based until the government started their intervention in the 60's. The cost curve ramped big time and the more they try to control it the greater the slope of the ramp. Of course having single payer will rectify all that. Right.

Since the US is #32 in life expectancy it's safe to say the free market isn't working. This fact proves your beliefs are not based on facts. Facts show us that countries that have longer life expectancies all have far more socialism. We have two options; do what works or pretend doing nothing is an option.

This is from the CIA website. The US is listed as being #43 in this list.
