Sibe, if you've been reading the 2000 Date-Change thread then you know that the remediation of code is a small part of the entire process. And, due to the nature of programming, even that step can not be fully-automated, which means the skill of the operator in working with a client may make a crucial difference in assuring the job gets finished correctly.

If you've been reading this thread then you know the learning curve that ALYD had to go through just to assure the client knew how to get them the code. Packaging code is a new concept for many IT departments. You'd be amazed how often there is code missing which can sideline a project for weeks.

To summarize: Y2K work is not "push-button". Knowing how to manage the project is the skill the Fortune 500 companies want to see that you possess. ALYD has a track record of getting code back into production that works. Sure SmartCode is great, but the chef makes the meal, not the ingredients.
