Nathan, Tell your friend that Zip is the standard and that's what most people use, and he won't be able to exchange files with others. Got a real quote on IOM 12 1/8. Got to go to work now. See y'all @ 6;00 tonite. SR

>>I haven't really seen many posts about the Sparq, so I have no idea what's going on with it. How do you convince somebody not to buy one rather than saying "Syquest sucks"? <<

Well, you can't really say anything else about it. The "SyQuest Sucks" argument is about the only defense iomaniacs can offer in response to SparQ.

SparQ is a fantastic product at a low low price that presently blows anything else away. Your friend wants value, capacity, and speed. He will get all of these with SparQ. It is the lowest priced 1 Gig removable drive out there, and has the fastest PP specs I've seen. It has 10 times more capacity than Zip, and is about 5 times faster using the parallel port. Syquest purposely positioned this product (much to my chagrin--I'm a Mac guy) for the PC crowd who wants the most bang for the buck that any removable drive maker can offer.

Iomega has no product that can match SparQ.

Nathan: Doncha love that name "Luann Platter" <ggg> You have to be a Texan to get it, though! Good old Luby's - we always called it "God's waiting room" <GGG> Actually, that sounds good right about now. I'm starving!
