It'd sure be interesting to know what BoA's proprietary indicator was that triggered the Hartnett sell call. That 2540 SPX indicator could be useful too in warning when I should back off on my leveraged shorts... and damn, what a wild "YoYo" week - TGIF! Next week, I'll continue looking for that bearish set of patterns pre market open in futures, it worked so well this week after all, and then simple trend following told me when to exit the mostly day trades. With leverage included, I think I took over 20k points profit on both the Dow & SPX this week. :) As far as 66-68 in gold, if memory serves, that was the period when the London gold pool broke... although of course it took Nixon's closing the gold window in Aug 71 to finally put the nails in that coffin. And then the run from early 1976 just over $100 to Jan 1980 $875 intra-day was another "educational" experience for the bears and non inflation believers... time and patience will tell...
