I agree. His statement on climate change is far from accurate. However, it seems true that faster computers will soon allow self-driven cars to be 100% accurate and extremely secure for humans in most conditions. Indirectly faster computers will help climate change, because cars using them will be a lot more efficient. The global car fleet will shrink like nobody ca imagine. But it is not only computers that will help, solar energy, better batteries for storage...etc will participate in this effort

Te guy was probably thinking about many other applications where faster computers will allow more efficiencies in a lot of applications that may have an impact on climate change.

But do we need quantum computers for that... I have no idea.
