That claim, by the mayor of Chicago, is highly questionable, based solely (supposedly) on 7000 guns that were actually confiscated. Still, it says nothing about gun control functionality EXCEPT that if you ban guns in the US people will get them from Mexico. Precisely the same as with the War on Drugs, Prohibition, and others such bans. We know they don't work.

Rahm is not above rigging the numbers, I would point out.

One wonders if the people who think TSA like security at schools is OK would object to TSA like security at State borders so that some States could experiment with very strict gun control even if the adjacent States have very liberal gun laws.
