Sounds like Micron may be a pretty good buy for a long term hold at this price.

Hi Tom Actually, I think Siemens has a very strong relationship with Wacker and gets most of their supply from the plant in Burghausen. I have seen MEMC / Novara material at the Siemens Module1, but mostly you see Wacker there. 300mm could be different. I know Wacker is scheduling 300mm tool deliveries in 1st and 2nd Q 98, but I don't have a good feel for their position in the race right now.

Seems their local investment club owns some WFR. I told her that
"big white thing" on the cover of WFR's last annual report was
what these guys have decided to start to try & make. <g>( You think
I like things simple, you should meet my mom. <BG>).

With Korea, etc. there is a lot of creedence to the idea of tweeking more out of the 200mm rather than blowing a few billion on new 300mm
stuff right away. My guess is about 2003 is when 300mm will catch on.
