If you take a look at the chart for compaq (the daily not your 5 year one) you can't see to much to be bullish about. Not everyone has your long term perspective Steve. I'm basicly a short term trader and I got sucked in by Compaqs fundamentals. In the mean time while I hold it I miss the stocks that are behaving properly. Compaq should of been up to about 59 today and instead it couldn't even make 57. That says something is wrong. I hope your right and mabey Intels earnings will be just what the we need to start turning this around but just looking at the charts I don't see anything to find comfort in.
