They didn't turn tail, they didn't even enter the building.

Running from a fight is common for frightened people and there no more frightened people than conservatives.....

I'd bet you the two guys who chased down the Sutherland church shooter were conservatives and they were pretty brave. They didn't hide in their house.

I'll bet the offduty unarmed cop who ran towards the fire at Parkland was conservative. Ditto for the two school employees who ran towards the fire and were killed as a result. And the JROTC kids who helped other kids escape. One of those was killed doing the right thing too.

They all displayed more courage than the Broward deputies who were probably told or trained to stand back by their liberal sheriff.

School guards and shopping center guards are not Navy Seals......they are there to make a little extra money. Many look ridiculous in their uniforms and pistols.. They see their jobs as dealing with unruly teens in a mall and shop lifters....not even that dangerous in schools........

The school resource officer was a county deputy, so were three other deputies who showed up to cower behind their cars.

Shame on you for mocking people who wear uniforms and carry weapons to defend the public. Anyone who carries a gun and badge knows they may have to face armed criminals at any time.

I grew up next door to a police officer in our hometown and another one lived several houses up the street. I know for a fact the cop next door to us faced down armed men on two occasions and talked both of them into giving up their weapon. This was more than 50 years ago and they weren't training small town police to fire volleys at every armed man. He put his life on the line twice, disarmed a criminal running from police and an armed drunk, with no casualties. Also no news coverage and no recognition. There is a world of things that never get reported to the public.
