You are telling me things were better in 1930's America during the depression than the 50's and 60's? In the 50's and 60's we had social security, medicare and strong unions. Since the Republicans have started cutting taxes and destroying unions it has been all down hill. Our social systems have been a huge success and saved millions of people from living in abject poverty. Half the people in the country live on social security and medicare alone.What if they didn't have those like in 1930. People survived 2008 because of those social programs! You need to read some history <<Every attempt at socialism in history has ended in complete failure.

Even the Nordic so-called "socialisms" are barely holding together Is there any Nordic country that you can think of that's buried future generations under trillions of dollar of debt? Their life expectancy, a very good sign of economic health far exceeds the US which is has fallen to #43. Also, why you think republicans are not socialists? They want money that's not theirs (debt from tax cuts) and they refuse to raise taxes even when they spend trillions on war (more socialism). They represent the purest form of socialism in the world.
