if personal wealth precluded a politician from
becoming prime minister, we would not have had
the likes of harper or martin to name a couple.

in harper's case, that would have been a good thing.

my brother in law was raised in montreal and my
sister lived there after they got married. i am
familiar. our views are coloured by our life experiences.

trudeau and chretien are top notch in my view, but, yes,
lets agree to disagree.

Why do you think he could not fool most in Montreal.

I don't, I just plain was mostly unaware of him. Plus I've seen it personally many many times before in the US and indirectly on most of Earth.

My father emigrated from Germany in 1929, but I also attended predominently Jewish middle and high schools so am quite aware of many of their issues, positives & negatives.

Most of my life has not been spent in wealthy mode, and I intentionally try to avoid most of the wealthy.
