Nancy,

You might try setting your "disk cache" size in the options menu up to 10K (10000) kilobites if it's now set higher already. I had a recent problem with freezing and increasing this cache size corrected the problem. Am lost if this does not help.

Regards,

Larry Lindsey

Hi Nancy. I used to have lot of problems when I tried to use 16 bit apps in Win95 (now I use NT 4.0). Anyway, I would recommend downloading a 32 bit version (Netscape 4.04) and trying it out. Also, try increasing RAM and processor speed if feasible. Good luck.
Bye,
Soumen

Nancy, your win95 files may be corrupt.. a friend reported having re-installed the operating system to restore ALTHOUGH he was having problems beyond Netscape crashes. It would be most helpful if you could get a "details" report on your crash. Is the system a complete freeze or just the program module. Do you have any component test software to see if any ram chips or io's are defective... or an older copy of Netscape... does Explorer run? So many questions, so few ways to figure it out using SI as a sounding board when you can't reply.. goodluck.. PS the oils are looking good for a bounce
