Salomon Smith Barney's upgrade of ASND from Neutral to Buy
seems to have pulled COMS up over 31 quite nicely.

<Great article about the SI gang.......>

You noticed, I expect, that Brad Dryer is a Rice lad.

Furthermore, Lax and others said that Silicon Investor could get hammered if it doesn't raise money and beef up marketing as other big players move more aggressively into stock discussion boards.

I don't know, there something about SI and the timing of the whole thing. They did the right thing at the right time. I haven't seen any other investor chat boards that interest me and SI is now so large and well established that I really have my doubt's if any other chat boards could get a foot hold. I think they did the right thing by holding out and IMO better things will come their way.

I like this part: "'The discussions going on S.I. are a lot more technical and more in depth than a lot of the research I see on Wall Street,' said Chester Lee, 33, supervisor at a Hercules, Calif.-based chemical company."

Thanks for finding that.
