Your questions seem to give a hint of your answers

1. Would probably wait to see more of NT5 (1 yr after full release) and what Netware would have added/changed within the same time frame.

I have been on "bleeding edge". I am probably on opposite side of pendulum swing now. Let the young Huns in smaller companies do the field testing and debugging.

2. Most Big companies do not have either-or solutions that clear. Usually these BIG companies with so many disparate client types end up with a hybrid of hardware, O/S, & comm gear. So long as TCP/IP exists, I don't beleive there is need for "A solution". I/S managers make decisions based on what they MUST do now and what is available technology NOW. It would be nice if nothing would change in-house until the new technology is available. (Your last job?)
